| Prior to changes in planning policy guidelines in 1996, out-of-town development was the major retail growth area and Hallam Land Management promoted many successful schemes for large food and non food stores. Out-of-town retail development is now uncommon and, in following present governmental planning guidance, we are looking to bring forward new retail stores on sites within or on the edge of existing retail areas. The introduction of mixed use schemes incorporating retail as part of the development is also a sustainable means of meeting present day retail development needs. We have created many such schemes, and are promoting further similar initiatives across the country. | | | |
