Hallam Land will be sponsoring Roundabout’s prevention services office for a 12-month period, contributing over £10,0000. This funding means that Roundabout can offer a drop in service in Sheffield City Centre opposite the Sheffield Council Housing Offices, undertaking preventative work and supporting young people who are either homeless currently or in imminent danger of leaving home.

With family breakdown the most common reason for a young person to become homeless, their qualified staff can offer a listening ear, guidance and support. Their aim is to help young people to stay at home or move out in a planned way with our support. These offices are more than just a building – they’re a place where lives are changed for the better. They offer a safe place for any young people to drop in for advice and support, be offered a drink and a snack and talk to a qualified member of staff about their situation. They listen to their problems and anxieties while ensuring each young person is treated with equal respect and dignity, while recognising their unique circumstances.

We are really pleased to be supporting this service for Roundabout.
