Hallam Land promoted the site on behalf of both Burford School and a local Burford charity.

The site secured planning permission for 91 plots and 5.2 acres of care provision, including 78 assisted/supported living apartments and an 90-bed care home. Both landowners wanted a high-quality residential development that provided open market, affordable, care and assisted living accommodation.

The site was incredibly landscape sensitive due to its proximity to the AONB. As such, significant landscape planting was carried out to minimise the harm to the setting of the AONB.
