Cranbrook is a New Community forming part of the Growth Point for Exeter & East Devon. Hallam Land secured Planning Permission for 3,500 plots with a further allocation of 7,500 plots to support a final community population of 20,000.
We invested to ‘front load’ the required infrastructure, including the main link road, Primary School, and Clyst Honiton Bypass. We also secured funding to deliver a new Secondary School and train station, which have now both been constructed. We are now in the process of delivering a new town centre to include a Morrisons Supermarket and other associated town centre facilities. The site is served by a combined heat & power network which provides heat to all plots from a central Energy Centre.
Over 2,500 residential occupations have now taken place and a new Secondary School, two Primary Schools, a Public House, railway station, and a Local Centre have also been completed.
