Hallam Land successfully promoted land at Northcraigs, to the north east of Kilmarnock, for 600+ units in the East Ayrshire Local Development Plan (LDP). Due to difficult economic conditions following allocation, Hallam Land delivered key infrastructure on the site including a new spine road to enhance site marketability once market conditions improved.
Hallam Land then secured Planning Permission in Principle (PPP) for the allocation area, submitting a masterplan for residential development and also a neighbourhood centre which will deliver uses such as small scale convenience and local service, satisfying the Scottish Governments policy on ’20 Minute Neighbourhoods’.
Following receipt of PPP, the first phase of the scheme was sold to Barratt David Wilson in 2019 and 131 units are now being delivered on site. Hallam Land recently sold phases 2-5 (c.470 units) and are now preparing to market the remaining phases of residential development and are in discussions with commercial operators with regards to the neighbourhood centre.
