Hallam Land is working with St Albans School to provide up to 1,000 high quality dwellings in a mix of sizes, styles and tenures including 40% affordable housing and the delivery of a 2FE primary school.

Hallam Land’s proposal reflects a number of the school’s priorities and the promotion is supported by a comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategy.

Hallam Land presented a compelling case for removing the site from the Green Belt, which would represent a ‘rounding off’ of development to the north of St Albans and would not result in neighbouring coalescence. This helped secure a draft allocation in the recently withdrawn Local Plan and draft allocation in the emerging Local Plan.
