Sale at Penniment Farm to Persimmon Homes
Hallam Land has completed the sale of 400 homes at Penniment Farm, Mansfield to housebuilder Persimmon Homes.
This represents the second sale of land to Persimmon following the sale of Phase One in 2018 based on the original outline planning permission. This new sale was based on a revised scheme that was submitted for outline planning in 2018. The scheme was determined at committee three years later in 2021. In June 2024, the section 106 planning agreement was signed and a new outline planning consent issued. This sale represented the sale of phases two, three and four to Persimmon. In total, consent for 600 houses has been granted on the land.
The land now to be developed by Persimmon includes 400 homes including affordable housing as well as publicly-accessible green infrastructure and landscaping.
This was a long-term investment by Hallam Land who acquired the freehold and facilitated the initial infrastructure works which allowed for quick delivery of phase one. The second phase was then submitted for planning and required further investment in the infrastructure of the site to resolve geotechnical and drainage issues.
In April 2025, Persimmon received their Reserved Matters consent, allowing them to begin development with the first homes expected to be occupied from 2026.
